Blog Tour: The Methuselah Project S.O.S.

Welcome back, agents. Today we're celebrating the release of the long-awaited sequel of The Methuselah Project by Rick Barry, The Methuselah Project S.O.S.

Roger is back, and he's taking his life back, too. Finally on American soil again, he's enjoying his new identity and position as a captain on the Air Force (the title of Captain making him even more like Captain America...), with a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend, Katherine, who has an exciting new job opportunity happening in her life, too. But when the CIA contacts him to return to European soil on a mission to rescue the woman who helped save him, everything gets all mixed up.

I loved seeing more Roger and Katherine together, as well as see the banter with their nerdy teammates. It was also fun to see more of the Heritage Organization's inner workings, those responsible for the plots, and what it's like for more prisoners of the HO like Roger once was just trying to survive.

The story had plenty of action, espionage, and sci-fi twists. The romantic tension was there, with me trying to figure out with Katherine why Roger hadn't proposed yet (something I'd been wondering since book one, actually), and then me trying to understand with Roger why Katherine was so upset. And wondering how the damsel in distress was going to fit in.

If you like books that have all of the above, and don't fit in the cookie cutter of most Christian fiction, as well as enjoy anything similar to Captain America like me, then this series is for you.

I received a copy of this book from the author, but the views and opinions are my own.

About Methuselah Project S.O.S:

Born in the final days of Nazi Germany, an underground organization is alive, growing, and manipulating events in our world today …

The survivor of a secret German experiment in 1943, Roger Greene possesses a unique physiology. To this day, his body remains youthful and heals quickly. In exchange for information about the mysterious Heritage Organization that Roger once escaped, the CIA has given him a new identity and pulled strings to get him into the modern U.S. Air Force.

Now, Roger’s main thrills are serving his country in an F-35 and spending time with Katherine, the love of his life. Suddenly, the CIA shows up and drops a bombshell—evidence that Sophie, the woman who Roger believed had died helping him escape, is alive. The Heritage Organization is holding her and others prisoner in an unknown location.

Honor-bound to rescue the woman who risked her life for him, Roger accepts temporary duties with the CIA. But just when the mission is already straining his relationship with Katherine, Roger becomes a murder suspect. A fugitive, he continues the mission to find Sophie alone. What he discovers lands this pilot deep inside a shadowy network intent on world domination.

Will Roger’s faith carry him through this quest—or will those tracking him succeed in snuffing out his long life once and for all?

And now it is here! Check it out on Amazon
