Review of Over the Line by Kelly Irvin
A non-stop action ride with a lots of romance on the side. Gabriella has enough on her plate owning a restaurant, living with her paraplegic, widowed sister and her two kids, and dodging her ex-fiance Eli whom she hasn't forgiven without a man showing up shot and uttering her brother's name. To save her missing in action brother, she plunges headfirst into a world of gun-smuggling ring at the border, forced to rely on Eli (who won me over with his Spanish pet names and deserves all the love in the world) and a reporter. The family dynamics (and hate-love between cop Eli and the reporter) was as strong as the romance of a man who will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he loves even though she refuses to forgive him. And they all have their own secrets...
An excellent romantic suspense and an honest look at some of the policies our nation is struggling with.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, and the opinions are my own.
