Excerpt of Intergalactic Witness Protection
Killa stands in a colorless world, alone. Such is her habit. Until something touches her hair. Turning, she finds Nicholas smiling at her.
She smiles back, and approaches him. But he’s not looking at her, but past her.
Turning, she sees Rose behind her. Then it’s not Rose, but a shadow that seems to be taking on many different forms.
Killa turns away from that Nicholas, fury coursing through her veins. But, as she looks at her reflection in the mirror that has suddenly appeared in front of her, there is nothing but stoicism in her expression.
She is a soldier first; woman second.
