Review of The Art of Falling in Love with the Movie Star by Anne Kemp

All’s fair in love and war…until you’re forced into an RV with your ex.

Amelia: I had it all; a loving marriage, an adorable dog, and plans to build the home of our dreams in idyllic Sweetkiss Creek. Moving here meant we focused on us, and starting a family, but those dreams came crashing down when Spencer made the choice to go back to Hollywood and left me flying solo.

Christmas snowflakes fall, fate jingles its bells and my estranged movie star husband returns for the reading of my late aunt's will. But it's not just legal matters and tinsel-covered nerves that he brings; oh no, this man is on a mission—to unwrap the gift of a second chance with me.

Spencer: On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Divorce papers. Now, I'm on a yuletide quest to win back my leading lady. You know, sugar plums, mistletoe and all the festive feels dancing in my head like an over-the-top rom-com montage.

Comical to think that an RV we inherit could become the sleigh to propel us back together, with a sprinkle of redemption and a dash of eggnog-induced chaos, of course. Could this be the holiday miracle I’m hoping for?

The Art of Falling in Love with the Movie Star is a second chance Christmas rom com with a one year time jump, serious forced proximity, sizzling and swoony kisses, and lots of love from Barney the Beagle. It’s a chemistry and tension collision in this closed door romance!

It's Christmas season and I've been looking forward to this rom-com release! An estranged couple are forced on a road trip while they are working out their marriage. Can they even figure out where home is in time for Christmas?

I loved these two. Spencer is still completely in love with his wife but is way too absent minded for his own good. And Amelia is trying to convince herself that the resentment between them has replaced the love they had at first. But for all their quarreling, they do make a good team. Even if neither are ready to drive an RV. Sparks fly and zany fun ensues; I both laughed and swooned for this one.

Note to more sensitive readers: minor innuendos and, obviously, tensions between a married couple.

I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

This fun, sweet rom-com is definitely one to add to your Christmas reading list!
