Review of Blessing Bentley by Chautona Havig

This was a unique book, and a pleasant read. It was interesting to see two people do something really out of the ordinary, but also in a way that makes sense for them. Though, it was a bit frustrating to see how everyone seemed to see 1 Corinthians 7 as Paul's argument in favor of singleness being because of coming persecution, and not because singleness frees one to be more focused on God and ministry. Of course, marriage is necessary for some forms of ministry (like pastorship) and marriage can be helpful in ministry, but that doesn't change the fact that when one is married, that means one has to be focused on their spouse's needs and then the ministry.

Anyway, the book was sweet, thought-provoking, and hilarious. Can't wait to see Tait's story in the next book, since he kind of got suctioned out of the story the moment Eden arrived, poor bloke, and dragged himself over only for the best moments.

A great debut of an interesting new series.
